Meal Daily Planner ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information.
The app stores the following information locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults:
When generating your daily meal plan, the app sends the following information to our secure backend server, which forwards it to OpenAI's API to produce your personalised meal plan:
This data is used solely to generate your meal plan. It is not stored, logged, sold, or used for any other purpose by us or our backend. No user account, email address, device identifier, or location is ever transmitted.
OpenAI processes this data according to their own privacy policy: openai.com/privacy
If the device has no internet connection, meal plans are generated entirely on-device and no data is sent anywhere.

The app does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Subscription purchases are processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Subscription management is handled by Apple.
The app is designed for family use and allows adding child family members by first name. Child names may be included in meal plan generation requests sent to OpenAI (as described above) solely to tailor portion sizes. No other information about children is collected or transmitted. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 beyond what is described in this policy.
All locally stored data can be deleted by uninstalling the app. Data sent to OpenAI for meal plan generation is not retained by us after the response is received.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
